Turkish Airlines Delivers Strong Performance in Chile

Turkish Airlines has successfully completed the first year of its flights to Santiago, Chile, which began on December 18. By the end of the year, the airline is expected to have carried approximately 77,300 passengers, achieving a 2.75% market share in its first year of operations in Chile. This performance places Turkish Airlines ahead of established carriers such as British Airways and Qantas.

By exercising fifth freedom rights on the Brazil–Chile route, Turkish Airlines has been able to offer competitive fares to Santiago via connections in São Paulo (GRU), making it an attractive option for travel between the two countries.

In 2026, Turkish Airlines plans to enter a new phase of its Chile operations by launching daily flights on the Istanbul (IST) – São Paulo (GRU) – Santiago route, further strengthening its presence in the Chilean market.
